Vox AC-30 Top Boost 1966

Now available on consignment, a 1966 Vox AC30/6 Top Boost.

This is another example of one of Vox’s great amplifiers, rugged, powerful, and distinctive, AC30’s have been favourites for many years now. 

Aside from the usual minor regular component replacement of a few capacitors, tubes and carry handles, this amp has only two other changes; both back panels, upper and lower, have been replaced, the top panel has a serial number which does not match the chassis serial, and the bottom panel has a “Vox Loudspeaker Cabinet” badge on it, indicating the panel coming from an AC30 speaker cab, most likely.

Cosmetically as well it has been well looked after, very minimal damage to the Tolex is present, no tears or rips, merely a few scuffs. There is minor areas of paint missing off the control panel, but grille cloth is virtually undamaged, with only minimal sag, and in general this amp this amp belies a life of careful usage.
