Vox AC-30 1963 Top Boost

Now available on consignment, a 1963 Vox AC-30 Top Boost. 

This example is an early “copper top” AC-30 is in used but well loved condition, being largely original.

Electronically, this amp is unusually original condition for it’s age, with only a few electrolytic caps, the power switch and the power tubes being replaced. The power cable has been replaced (original included), and the handles are replacements. Aside from this, it retains all its original filter caps, transformers, and both original Vox/Celestion G12 “Blue” speakers. 

Cosmetically, present is a little tearing of the grille cloth, and some minor paint touchups to cover wear to the Tolex. There are numerous scuffs, spots, specks and marks associated with 62 years of service. 

Altogether this is a great amp, powerful, bright and chiming, with a long life ahead, and plenty of character.
