Tokai Springy Sound ST80 Sunburst 1980

Now available on consignment, a 1980 Tokai Springy Sound ST80 in its original sunburst finish.

This is one of the higher end stratocaster replicas from Tokai, having a nitrocellulose finish over sen-ash body, low wind 50s style 'E' stamped pickups, and a V shaped neck profile.

Work to the guitar includes:

- The original decal is missing, an exact 'Springy Sound' replacement decal is included.

- The volume pot has been replaced, as has the switch to a 5-way.

Otherwise the guitar appears to retain most of its original parts, including the Tokai stamped tuners and saddles, and the rest of the electronics. The original frets do show some wear, but play with no issues up and down the neck with a fairly low action.

This one really feels like an old strat! Includes a modern hardcase.
