Now available on consignment, a 2003 National Style O resonator.
This is a fairly standard, 12th fret joint, single cone resonator guitar built at National’s San Luis Opisbo in California. Featuring an Ebony fretboard, nickel-plated brass body, maple neck, and spun aluminium cone, this guitar represents the same essential design that National has made since 1930.
This particular instrument has had no modifications or repairs since leaving the factory aside from being fitted with a piezo pickup under the bridge. Aside from this, there is one small piece of the fretboard binding missing at the bottom of the board.
All in all this is a very tidy guitar, a full and rich sounding example of a Style 0, with an even, bright response across the strings. It’s set up to play with a bottleneck-appropriate action and is ready to play.
Includes its original hardcase.
