Now available on consignment, a 1966 Mosrite 'Ventures' Mark V model.
This instrument is very typical of the period featuring the 'German Carve' introduced late in 1965. Almost all of the original parts remain, including both pickups stamped 'Mosrite of California', pots, bridge, and Mosrite tremolo. The only replaced parts are a set of reissue Kluson style tuners which have been installed, a replacement tone pot, and input jack.
The guitar plays smoothly with a medium to low action, despite the very small frets and thin neck. Intonation is good thanks to it’s smart bridge design, and the tremolo works quite well.
Overall, despite some play wear to the finish, this is a great playing and sounding Ventures model.
Includes a modern hard case.
