Now available on consignment, a 1965 Mosrite 'Ventures II' model.
This instrument is very typical of the period, being the lower range of Mosrite models available, though now featuring the “German Carve” introduced late in 1965. Almost all of the original parts remain, including both pickups, pots (‘65 dates on both), and bridge. The only exceptions being a non original switch tip, and reissue style Kluson tuners.
The guitar plays smoothly with a medium to low action, despite the very small frets and thin neck. Intonation is good thanks to it’s smart bridge design, and the tremolo works quite well.
Overall, despite the extensive checking, scratches, bumps, and dents, this is a comfortable and friendly instrument.
Includes a non-original, but period correct hard case.
