Now available on consignment, a 1967 Gretsch 6122 Chet Atkins Country Gentleman.
This particular example is in fair condition, having been well played with plenty of play wear on the neck and body.
As is typical on this era Gretsch, there is binding rot mainly around the neck heel and upper bout, however its present right around the body and neck (piece missing on the treble side). There is a small crack on the back of the headstock that is stable, and a neck set is recommended to improve the action as its currently medium to high. At some point a professional re-fret was performed with plenty of life left as well.
Features include 2x Filtertron humbucking pickups, a laminate maple body, maple neck, ebony fingerboard, Grover Imperial tuners, and a Bigsby vibrato. This year features the double cut body shape with painted f-holes.
A great sounding and original example of a Gretsch Country Gentleman!
Includes its original hardshell case that is in good condition.
