Gibson 'The Paul' 1978 Walnut

Now available on consignment, a 1978 Gibson Les Paul 'The Paul'. 

Features of this model include a 1 & 3/4” thick 3-piece walnut body with no maple cap, a 3-piece walnut laminate neck, ebony board, and a gold silkscreened logo. 

Electronically, this instrument is dead stock, retaining both original T-top humbuckers, as well as the original pots (dating to late 1978) & switch arranged in the Les Paul Special layout. 

Cosmetically, this guitar has very minimal use, a few minor dings and scratches, but nothing noticeable aside from some corrosion on the treble side of the bridge. 

The tummy and arm bevel makes for a comfortable addition, as does the thrill the new owner will experience when peeling off the original plastic coating on the control cavity plate. This instrument plays with a comfortable low action thanks to its dead straight neck, tunes easily and reliably, is strung with 10-46 gauge strings, and will make a comfortable and light weight addition to any collection.
