Now available, a 1970 Gibson SG Standard in its original Walnut finish with batwing pickguard and the maestro vibrola.
This particular example has been played, however remains in entirely original condition including its original frets which still play well despite some wear. This SG is very similar to the guitar Angus Young used in the early days of AC/DC which was a '70/71 in the same finish.
At some point the headstock has been broken and cleanly repaired, and a crack by the heel has been repaired with overspray over the back of the neck. Otherwise the original finish remains and the neck is rock solid.
The guitar retains both of its original patent # decal pickups, and the wiring harness appears untouched with all 4x pots dating to the 18th week of 1970. All of the plastics and hardware remain including the 'Gibson Deluxe' tuners, ABR-1 bridge with nylon saddles, and the maestro vibrola with original arm.
A fantastic playing SG that's among the last of the batwing guards, includes a modern hardcase.
