Now available, a 1964 Gibson SG Standard in cherry.

This example has been well played, having all of the desirable '64 specs including the medium chunky neck profile, maestro vibrola, and the PAF spec patent number humbucking pickups.

Work to the guitar includes:

- The neck heel has been reglued by Sydney luthier Piers Crocker as it was previously loose, there is also a repaired crack by the input jack and some separation of the bass side headstock wing that is stable.

- The ABR-1 bridge, vibrato arm, and vibrato cover have been replaced (the vibrato itself is original).

- The tuners are replica single line/double ring Kluson replacements, there is no evidence of other tuners being installed.

Otherwise the guitar still retains its original cherry finish which has some fade and finish checking. The original plastics remain, as does the wiring harness with all 4x CTS pots dating to the 44th week of '63. The original capacitors, switch, and input jack remain as well.

The original frets are low, however play surprisingly well with a nice low easy action after a recent professional setup.

Overall a great playing and looking '64 Gibson SG Standard!

Includes its original case.
