Now available on consignment, an early 1965 Gibson SG Special in its original cherry finish.

This stunning example dates to early in 1965, still having the medium chunky neck with the wider 1&11/16" nut width, nickel plated hardware, and Brazilian Rosewood fingerboard much like a '64 example.

As you can see this SG Special is in great shape for over 60 years old, with some light dings and light finish checking. There are NO breaks or repairs, and the original frets play surprisingly well despite some light play wear.

The only replaced parts to note is a replacement Mojo-Axe compensated wraparound tailpiece for improved intonation, and a replacement nut. Otherwise the guitar retains all its original parts including both of its original soap-bar p90s which sound great, as well as the plastics, and wiring harness appearing all untouched.

A fantastic playing and sounding example of a mid 60s Gibson SG Special!

Includes its original Gibson case and vibrato arm.
