Now available on consignment, a 1970s Gibson Mk-35 acoustic guitar.
The Gibson Mk-35 was initially released in 1975, featuring a spruce top, mahogany body with a medium chunky maple neck, 16 &3/16-inch wide body, a modified fan-pattern bracing style, an asymmetrical bridge, and interchangeable saddles.
This particular example was purchased by the current owner from Emerald City Guitars in Seattle, Washington. The guitar originates from a collection of 100+ instruments that were kept by ex-factory employees at Gibson. From 1961 until the factory's closure in 1984, a husband and wife who worked at Kalamazoo stored these instruments, remaining in un-played condition until 2024.
The guitar uniquely has a thinner body than standard, and no serial number as is common with employee guitars of this period. There is no play wear/damage to note.
A rare and unique piece of Gibson history! Includes a period Gibson hardcase in clean condition.
