Gibson Les Paul TV Special 1957

Now available on consignment, an original 1957 Gibson Les Paul TV Special!

This example has had serious play time as well as some changes over the years, however it still retains both of its original soapbar P90 pickups which sound fantastic!

The whole guitar has been oversprayed long ago over the original finish, there are NO breaks or repairs to the neck or heel and the original headstock face and serial number remain.

Work to the guitar includes:

- The wrap-around tailpiece is a compensated replacement which intonates.

- The pots have been replaced with 4x modern CTS 500k.

- The jackplate, strap buttons, truss rod cover, switch tip/ring, and knobs have been replaced with quality replica parts.

- At some point Grover tuners were installed,  period correct replacements are now installed.

- A professional refret with vintage correct wire in the last few years, there is sanding to the fingerboard and binding from previous refrets.

Otherwise the guitar retains its original 3-ply pickguard, p90 covers, bumblebee capacitors, and a classic medium chunky '57 neck profile. The guitar is currently setup with 10-46 strings and is ready to play!
