Gibson Les Paul Standard 1998 Cherry Sunburst

Now available on consignment, a 1998 Gibson Les Paul Standard in cherry sunburst.

This guitar is a fairly typical, but well cared for, example of a late ‘90’s Gibson, still in the “good wood” era. 

This particular instrument has had different pickups installed previously, however the originals are now back in. The original Grover Rotomatic tuners have been swapped for a set of Kluson locking tuners (originals included). Pickguard has been removed due to a crack and is in the case. No other modifications or repairs have occurred. Aside from a few bumps and nicks, it exhibits relatively few signs of wear, and presents well. 

Sonically, this guitar is typical of a good Gibson of the period, being resonant, clear and precise, with a sweet tone all the way up the board. A fairly medium weight, strung with 10-46 strings, and plays clearly & cleanly with a medium-low action.
