Gibson Les Paul/SG Standard 1961 CLEAN

Now available, a near mint and totally original 1961 Gibson Les Paul/SG Standard!

This particular example is one of the cleanest Gibson guitars from the 1960s to come through the store, with absolutely no fade to the original cherry finish (as seen under the pickguard), no checking, or pitting to the nickel hardware whatsoever. We found this guitar about 4 years ago in South Africa where it remained mostly un-played for nearly 60 years. A true time capsule!

It features 2x unopened original short magnet 'PAF' pickups, non-wired ABR-1 bridge with brass saddles, and the sideways vibrola. The original pots date to '61, with the wiring harness remaining untouched.

There are few dings to note on the back, and a small one on the tip of the headstock, otherwise the guitar is in fantastic shape for 64 years of age.

One of the best examples of an early Les Paul/SG Standard available anywhere, let alone in Australia. Dont miss this one!
