Now available, a 1971 Gibson Les Paul Gold-top '58 Reissue.
This example is among the 1st run of wrap-tail reissue Les Paul Standard's made in 1971, known as the '58 reissue. However this model more closely represents a '54 Gold-top.
Specifications include a set of original soap-bar P90 pickups, aluminum wraparound tailpiece, the silk screened 'Les Paul Model' logo, a 1-piece mahogany neck with the small headstock, and a 1-piece body with a solid maple cap.
Overall you can see this example has been played, however it presents in good condition having play wear on the upper bout of the body, as well as some buckle rash on the back. There are NO breaks or repairs whatsoever on this example, there are a few minor changes including:
Other than mentioned, this guitar retains its original parts. All of the hardware and plastics other than the jack-plate remain correct, and the electronics are mostly stock including the original 'black beauty' capacitors, and 3x original CTS pots dating to late '71.
A fantastic playing and sounding Gold-top Les Paul that is ready to play!
Includes a period early 70s Gibson case with purple lining (one broken latch).
