Gibson Les Paul Deluxe 1975 Red Rocket Sparkle

Now available on consignment, a rare 1975 Gibson Les Paul Deluxe in Red Rocket Sparkle.

Here is something you don't see, an original Les Paul Deluxe with a sparkle finished top. These guitars were offered exclusively throughout 1975 in blue, red, green, and gold sparkle, with the blue being the most common. This particular example features the earlier 70s specs of this era Deluxe, having the pancake body construction and the 3-piece mahogany neck with the volute.

This guitar retains most of its original parts, including both mini humbuckers, and all of the hardware down to the strap buttons. The neck volume pot has been replaced, as has 1x capacitor, otherwise the wiring harness and 3x remaining pots are original with the visible pot dates falling in late 1974. Otherwise the jack-plate, and switch tip have been replaced, all other plastics remain original.

The original frets show some wear and have been levelled in the past, however it plays well up and down the neck. There is some buckle rash on the back of the body to note, however the guitar is in otherwise good shape with a few marks and dings. There are NO breaks or repairs, and the original finish remains untouched showing no signs of touchup or overspray.
