Gibson Les Paul Custom 1978 Black

Now available on consignment, a 1978 Gibson Les Paul Custom in black.

This is a well-played example of a late ‘70s Les Paul Custom, featuring the one-piece mahogany body, three-piece maple top, three-piece maple neck, Nashville tune-o-matic, and Gibson branded Schaller tuners.

The guitar has had a few minor modifications including a replaced jack plate, strap buttons, nut, and replaced pickguard. Otherwise it retains the rest of its original hardware and plastics, as well as it's original patent # pickups, and wiring harness with the pots dating to 1978.

Condition wise, this guitar certainly has seen some use, at some point an enterprising individual has taken most of the finish off the back of the neck, aside from that there are a few dents and nicks around the body, though nothing too serious, and there are no breaks or cracks whatsoever. 

This one is playing great thanks to a recent setup and 10-46 strings, includes a period Gibson chainsaw case.
