Now available on consignment, a first year reissue 1976 Gibson Explorer.
This is an example from the second batch of reissues of the Explorer model, fairly true to its 50’s specs, including; two gold plated 'Tarback' humbucking pickups, an ABR-1 bridge, stop tailpiece, single-ply white guard, 3x barrel knobs, 1 & 11/16ths nut width with a chunky 50s 'C' profile, and an unbound Rosewood fingerboard.
Other specifications include a Mahogany body and single piece neck, and a set of 6-in-a-line “Gibson Deluxe” Kluson style tuners. This second run of reissues lacks the “limited edition” stamp on the rear of the headstock, however retains all of the same specifications as the first run.
This guitar itself has had no modifications whatsoever, and almost no use on top of that, it retains all original components, and is in great condition. The only areas of contention would be some very light wear on the gold plating, and a few small scratches on the lower back and some finish wear around the lower strap pin.
One of the cleanest examples of a first year reissue explorer we have seen!
Includes its original purple lined Gibson case in similar clean condition.
