Gibson Explorer 1981 Refinish Natural

Now available, a 1981 Gibson Explorer that has been professionally refinished natural.

The guitar has been refinished by Sydney luthier Frank Grubisa to resemble a '76 reissue. Luckily its survived without any major breaks, however there is a hairline crack between the machine heads that is stable.

This example still retains both of its original tarback patent # pickups, and most of its original hardware minus a replacement bridge. The pickguard and plastics all look correct minus a replacement jackplate. 

The strap buttons have been replaced, and at some point another strap button was added to the heel. At the time of the refinish the guitar was refretted with medium jumbo frets, and it plays great with a low action and 10-46 strings.
