Now available on consignment, an original 1963 Gibson ES335TDC in cherry.
This is a fantastic original example of a 1963 Gibson ES335TDC, featuring a transitional medium C neck profile, and the desirable factory stop-tail piece (never had a Bigsby fitted).
Specifications include a double bound laminated maple body with maple/mahogany centre-block, a mahogany neck with Brazillian rosewood fingerboard, and block inlays. Both original pickups are present featuring 1x PAF, and 1x Patent # (both covers have been off at some point, and the original wiring harness remains untouched). At some point there has been some very light clear overspray on the back of the neck that is only visible under UV light, and the ABR-1 bridge studs have been moved in the past, holes carefully touched up under the thumbwheels.
The only changed parts on this guitar are an older re-fret with jumbo frets, and the original nut has been shimmed. Otherwise the guitar retains all of its original plastics and hardware, including the nickel plated wired ABR-1 bridge and thumbwheels, aluminium stop-tail piece and studs, single line Kluson Deluxe tuners, screws, and strap buttons.
The guitar presents in overall great shape, with some finish checking and a few dings on the body to note, as well as some shrinkage of the neck binding. The frets play well despite some wear, and the guitar has been recently setup instore.
A rare opportunity to get an original example of '63 Gibson ES335 in Australia.
Includes its original Lifton case.
