Now available, an original 1964 Gibson ES335TD in sunburst.
This is a fantastic original example of a 1964 Gibson ES335, featuring the medium chunky neck profile, and the desirable factory stop-tail piece (never had a Bigsby fitted).
Specifications include a double bound laminated maple body with maple/mahogany centre-block, a mahogany neck with Brazillian rosewood fingerboard, and block inlays. Both original early patent # pickups are unopened, and the original wiring harness remains untouched.
The only changes to this guitar are an older professional re-fret with a few small divots filled on the board, and replacement nylon bridge saddles (original saddles are included). Otherwise the guitar retains all of its original plastics and hardware, including the nickel plated wired ABR-1 bridge and thumbwheels, aluminium stop-tail piece and studs, single line Kluson Deluxe tuners, screws, and strap buttons.
The guitar presents in overall great shape, with some finish checking and a few dings on the body to note, as well as some shrinkage on the front of the body around the f-holes, and input jack. The frets play well despite some wear, and the guitar has been recently setup instore.
A rare opportunity to get a lightweight, original example of '64 Gibson ES335 in Australia.
Includes its original Lifton case, and original nylon saddles.
