Now available, a 1983 Gibson ES-335 dot neck reissue in its original blonde finish!

This is an example of an early Gibson ES-335 reissue, from when Gibson started to emulate the original ES 335s from the late 1950s. It features 2x original Tim Shaw 'PAF' style pickups, and there is some light flame and figure to the maple on both sides of the body.

Work to the guitar includes:

- A previous owner changed out the bridge and tailpiece for aged nickel plated Faber units to be closer to 50s spec.

- The Grover tuners have been swapped out for Kluson style tuners.

- The knobs and wiring harness have been replaced with 50s style wiring, 500k CTS pots, and PIO capacitors.

- A medium jumbo refret performed fairly recently with a new nut.

These modifications were made to bring the guitar closer to an original dot neck ES-335, please note ALL of the original parts are included.

Cosmetically this guitar is in pretty good shape, having a few nicks and dings from use over the last 40+ years. The refret has plenty of life, and the guitar plays with a fairly low action.

A high quality and great sounding Gibson ES-335 from the early 80s, includes its original case with original parts.
