Gibson Custom Shop Slash First Standard Les Paul 2017 Aged

Now available on consignment, a 2017 Gibson Custom Shop “Slash First Standard” Les Paul Aged.

This is an example of the meticulously worked and aged Gibson Custom Shop Les Paul standard, modelled after Slash’s 1958 Gibson Les Paul Standard, which is among 2 of the first to have the sunburst finish. It features a heavily aged and worn body and neck, faded burst, cover-less bridge humbucker, and sticker rash on the pickguard much like the original. This instrument is #078 out of 100 instruments in this run, all using well selected single piece Mahogany necks and backs, with a plain top, as per the original.

This Les Paul is outfitted with Gibson “Custom Buckers” and the regular wiring harness, as well as the stock backwards tune-o-matic. There have been no modifications to this guitar, nor does it appear that there is much wear, ironically enough. The only issue to note would be the top of the pickguard being slightly cracked through the screw hole.

Aside from this, there is very little wear on the guitar, no fret-wear, and no discernible wear to the board. The neck is chunky but well shaped and comfortable, and it is quite light for a Les Paul with a nice bright open tone.

Recently setup and strung with 10-46 strings, includes its OHSC and verification card signed by Slash.
