Now available, an original 1957 Gibson Country & Western.

This is a great playing example of a late 1950s Gibson slope shoulder dreadnought that has had all of the necessary work to make it a playable instrument. The guitar has been mostly professionally refinished at some point in in thin nitrocellulose lacquer (minus the headstock face).

Work to the guitar includes:

  • The tuners are modern kluson style replacements.
  • The guitar has had a professional neck set at some point
  • A professional refret with vintage tall frets, the original nut remains in place
  • There are 3x small repaired cracks on the back of the body which have been glued, and 1x reglued back brace
  • Replacement bridge and saddle, the original bridge plate is still in place

Otherwise this guitar is in solid condition for nearly 70 years old, still retaining its original pickguard, truss rod cover, bridge plate and bracing throughout. Its currently setup with a low action with plenty of room on the saddle, and is ready to play as-is with no work needed.

A great playing 50s Gibson slope shoulder that is ready to go!

Includes a Gibson Custom Shop case.
