Now available, a 1976 Gibson Bicentennial Thunderbird bass in its original sunburst finish.
These Bicentennial basses were made only in 1976-77, being the first reissue year of the Reverse model since the mid 1960s, and the only year to feature '76' on the pickguard. Features include a laminated neck-through mahogany neck/body, mahogany body wings, a 34.5" scale length, and 2x chrome covered humbucking pickups.
The bass presents in largely original condition, with exception of a re-fret with jumbo frets, a replaced brass nut, and an added strap button to the heel at some point (now removed). Otherwise all of the parts remain original except for missing pickup covers. Luckily this example is free from any breaks or repairs as well. There is some light buckle rash and a few dings to note, however the bass is in great overall condition.
A fantastic playing and sounding Gibson Thunderbird bass!
Includes a hardcase.
