Swapped Parts

Frets, nut, switch

Now available, a 1972 Fender Telecaster in its original blonde finish.

This guitar has definitely seen some smokey bars in its time, with a tonne of natural play wear all over. Luckily the guitar has remained largely original with a few exceptions:

  • The guitar has been re-fretted with medium jumbo sized wire, and a new nut has been installed.
  • The 3-way switch is a modern replacement, the original switch tip remains.
  • The bridge pickup has been professionally rewound.

Otherwise the guitar retains most of its original parts including all of the hardware, the white 3-ply pickguard with some cracks, both original pickups which are healthy and balanced, and the original pots. The frets have lots of life left despite some wear, and the guitar has been recently setup with 10-46 strings.

A great playing example of an early 70s Fender Telecaster, includes its original black tolex case and hangtags.
