Fender Stratocaster 1973 Mocha w Black Pickguard

Now available on consignment, an early 1973 Fender Stratocaster in its original Mocha Brown finish.

This is an early example of a Mocha Brown Fender Stratocaster that presents in great condition overall. The guitar has seen play time over the years, however has remained in mostly original condition with exception of a past re-fret, replaced nut, replaced back-plate screws, and a refinished fingerboard. Otherwise the finish remains original and untouched on the body, back of the neck, and headstock.

All of the hardware and plastics are stock, as are all of the electronics with the guitar featuring a rare set of stagger pole-piece black bottom pickups dating to 1973. This lines up with the three original CTS pots dating to the 48th week of 1972.

The re-fret shows only minor play wear, and the guitar is on the lighter side for a strat of this period. Its been recently setup with 10-46 strings and is ready to play.
