Now available on consignment, a 1972 Fender Stratocaster in its original Olympic White finish with single piece maple neck.
This is an early example of a 3 screw neck joint Stratocaster in a custom colour from the early 70s. It still features a set of staggered pole grey bottom pickups, and is fairly lightweight at 3.5kgs.
Work to the guitar includes:
- There is a crack on the bass side of the neck pocket on the body, this appears stable and doesnt affect the tuning.
- There is a small amount of touch-up on the upper horn from a strap button at some point.
- The leads to the input jack have been clipped and re-attached.
- A few screws have been replaced on the pickguard and bridge pickup.
Otherwise this guitar features nearly all of its original parts and all of its original finish with no touchup or overspray. The original pickups date to the 45th week of '72, and the 3x CTS pots to the 33rd week.
A great playing and sounding early 70s Fender Stratocaster, includes its original hardcase and original tremolo arm.
