Fender Stratocaster 1968 3-Tone Sunburst

Now available on consignment, a 1968 Fender Stratocaster in its original sunburst finish.

This example has been well very played over its life, with a tonne of natural play wear on the original sunburst finish and on the neck. The guitar remains mostly intact and original, however there are a few changes including:

• A past re-fret with medium jumbo frets and a replaced nut
• The pickguard is a period mid to late 60s part, the original had a mini switch installed between the controls
• 5-way switch installed (original included)
• Replaced tremolo block (original block included).
• A few pickguard screws have been replated

Otherwise the guitar retains all of its original electronics including the CTS tone pots dating to the 18th week of '66 (common for '66-'71), and all 3x grey bottom pickups dating to September of 1968 (replaced leads). The guitar retains all of its original hardware including the saddles, tremolo and jack-plate, neckplate/serial # and screws, and the Fender 'F' tuners.

There is some fret wear with some light buzzing here and there, however nothing that affects overall playability. The guitar has been recently setup instore with 10-46 strings and is ready to play.
