Just traded back in, a fantastic looking early 1966 Fender Stratocaster with a professional body only refinish to Sherwood Green Metallic.
This guitar has the typical 1966 features including a nitrocellolose finish, 3x grey bobbin pickups, and of course the big headstock!
The body refinish as you can see is top notch work by Joe Riggio, recreating accurately a Sherwood Green Metallic custom colour finish.
The neck is a period replacement from March of 1966, it retains its original decal finish with no overspray or changes other than a professional refret with medium jumbo frets and a new nut. At one point a mini switch was installed between the controls, a period late 60s pickguard has been installed to restore the guitar (see photos). The cloth wires to the input jack are replaced, the jack itself is original.
Otherwise the guitar retains its original parts including the wiring with all 3 pickups and pots (6610) dating to early 1966. The ccorrect plastics and hardware all remain as well right down to the original saddles and double line kluson tuners.
A fantastic opportunity to get a great playing mid 60s Stratocaster, dont sleep on this one! Includes an early 70s hardcase with backplate.
