Tremolo assembly, pickguard, neck pickup coil, frets, nut

Now available on consignment, a 1966 Fender Stratocaster in its original sunburst finish.

This example has been well played over its life, with lots of checking and play wear on the original sunburst finish. The original frets still play well despite some wear of course, and the original nut has been shimmed. The guitar remains mostly intact and original, however there are a few changes including:

  • The tremolo assembly has been replaced with reproduction parts
  • The neck pickup has been professionally rewound at some point to match the bridge and middle pickups.
  • The pickguard/pickup covers are period replacements from the late 60s/early 70s
  • The neck mounting screws, and strap buttons are replacements
  • A drivers license number has been engraved on the body and neckplate.

Otherwise the guitar retains all of its original electronics including the CTS tone pots dating to the 18th week of '66, and all 3x pickups dating to December of 1966. The guitar retains original 60s hardware including the jack-plate, neckplate/serial #, and double line Kluson Deluxe tuners.

A great playing and sounding '66 Fender Stratocaster!

Includes its original black tolex Fender case (no tremolo arm).
