Now available, a late 1964 Fender Stratocaster in its clean original 3-tone sunburst finish.
This example made its way to Australia from South Africa with its original owner many years ago, before being found in Melbourne, Victoria. Featuring all pre-CBS specs including clay dot neck inlays, a nitrate celluloid pickguard, and single line Kluson deluxe tuners.
The ONLY changed parts are a recent professional refret, and a replacement nut (original nut included). Otherwise this guitar retains all of its original hardware and plastics, as well as the original finish having no touchup or overspray. There is some finish wear by the lower bout and strap button, and a few dings, however the guitar remains in great condition overall. The volume and tone pots all date to the 20th week of '64, which is consistent with a neck date of October, and the grey bobbin pickups dating to November.
Includes in its original black no logo case, original matching hangtag, strap, 60s cable, tremolo arm, and photos of the original owner.
