Now available on consignment, an early 1957 Fender Stratocaster that has been professionally restored to 2-tone sunburst.

This is an early '57 with matching April body and neck dates. The refinish on this guitar was done recently by Conway Guitars in Queensland, being an accurate thin finish with some light aging to match.

Work to the guitar includes:

- Professional refret and fingerboard refinish by Conway Guitars, the fretboard radius was flattened to over 10" long in the past. There is clear overspray on the back of the neck.

- Schallers installed at some point, original klusons have been reinstalled with conversion bushings.

- The neck pickup was rewound at some point, it matches well with the bridge and middle in output.

- The volume pot is a period replacement from 1957, though not original to this guitar.

- The pickguard is an accurate replacement which lines up with the original screw holes.

Otherwise this guitar retains its original pickup covers, knobs, and all of its original hardware minus the pickguard/neck screws. The body contours are in good shape, and the neck has a soft 'V' shape typical of this era. All 3x original north polarity black bottom pickups remain, and the original tone pots date to the 4th week of 1957.

A fantastic playing and sounding '57 with all the important parts, includes a modern Fender tweed case.
