Fender Precision Bass 1965 Lake Placid Blue Refinish

Now available on consignment, a late 1965 Fender Precision Bass with a body only refinish in Lake Placid Blue.

This example has been in Australia for some time, retaining most of its original parts minus a reproduction pickguard, modern CTS pots and input jack, reproduction bridge saddles, and the strap buttons.

Otherwise the original bridge plate, reverse tuners, and tugbar remain. The original split-coil pickup remains and sounds great, having 1x black bobbin, and 1x grey bottom dating to November of '65. This matches the neck date of November 1965, and an early 100xxx 'F' plate serial number.

Overall a fantastic playing original early CBS P-bass with a comfortable C neck profile, currently setup with flatwounds and a medium to low action.
