pickup foam (original foam in case)

Now available, a 1964 Fender Precision Bass in its original Lake Placid Blue Metallic finish.

This particular example has been lightly played, however remains in totally original condition right down to the frets, and nut. As you can see the Lake Placid Blue finish shows very little fading, retaining the deep blue colour and remaining untouched as does the neck. There are a few dings on the body, as well as some buckle rash on the back to note.

All of the original hardware remains including the reverse tuners, threaded 3-saddle bridge, and all of the screws. The original white 3-ply pickguard has no cracks, and the electronics remain completely untouched including the grey bottom split-coil pickup, and the wiring harness with the Stackpole pots dating to the 50th week of 1964. The foam under the pickup has been replaced, the original foam is in the case.

The bass plays with a fairly low action and a straight neck, the original frets play well despite some light wear in the first few positions.

A fantastic example of a clean, custom colour pre-CBS Fender Precision Bass!

Includes its clean original black tolex case and covers.
