Fender Precision Bass 1960 Sunburst Refinish

Now available on consignment, a well played early 1960 Fender Precision Bass with a relic refinish in sunburst.

This one came from a well known shop in California some years ago, having had a full body and neck refinish with a new decal, and some relic work. The bass retains most of its original parts minus the pickguard, the knobs, the strap buttons, and a professional refret with a new nut.

Otherwise the original bridge, saddles, reverse tuners, and tugbar remain. The original split-coil black bottom pickup has been professionally rewound at some point and sounds great. The wiring harness remains original except for an added ground wire over the original pots that date to the 47th week of '59. The body dates to 11/59, while the neck dates to 5/60.

Overall a fantastic playing original pre-CBS P-bass with a nice slim C neck profile, currently setup with flatwounds.
