Now available, a 1964 Fender Jazzmaster that has been refinished long ago in sunburst.

This is an older body only refinish that has been very well played over the years, originally shipping in factory Dakota Red as is seen in the cavities. The guitar also features a nitrate celluloid 'green' pickguard which was mostly seen on custom colour Jazzmasters of this period.

Other work to the guitar includes:

  • Fresh refret by Sydney luthier Piers Crocker, there is sanding to the fretboard from a previous refret to note.
  • The lower volume and tone pots have been replaced with modern 1-meg units.
  • The tuners are replica single line Klusons, there are NO extra holes from other tuners.
  • The strap buttons have been replaced.

Otherwise this guitar retains both of its original pickups (NO rewinds), and the rest of the electronics remain original other the forementioned pots. The original neck finish and decal remain, and dates to November of '63. Most of the original hardware remains including the bridge and tremolo.

An approachable vintage Pre-CBS Jazzmaster thats ready to play, includes a period early 60s brown hardcase and the original tremolo arm.
