Now available on consignment is this well played early 1965 Fender Jaguar in its original Fiesta Red custom colour finish with matching headstock! This example having been in Australia for some decades...
This transitional guitar still features a nitrate celluloid pickguard, L serial plate and no binding on the neck. It remains in largely original condition except for 2 pickguard screws, replaced foam under the pickups, and a replaced strap button. There is significant buckle rash and finish wear on the back of the body showing the correct desert sand undercoat. There is also flaking to the matching headstock as pictured, this is stable.
The electronics appear all untouched with the solder looking undisturbed throughout. The lower volume and tone pots date to the 8th week of 1965, and the guitar features a healthy pair of original black bottom pickups.
The original frets are very worn, so a refret is recommended for everyday playing. However the guitar still plays up and down the neck.
Comes in its original white tolex case in rough condition with its original mute (replaced foam) and tremolo arm.
