Now available, a 1962 Fender Jaguar that has been factory refinished in Lake Placid Blue in early 1965.
This example as you can see has mix of features from the early 1960s. It is among the earliest Fender Jaguars from 1962 having a pencil dated neck heel, and custom ordered 'C' nut width (1&11/16").
The guitar was sent back to Fender in early 1965 for a refinish in Lake Placid Blue which remains in nice unfaded condition until today. At the time of the refinish the pickups were replaced to early '65 grey bottoms, as were the pots dating to the 19th week of '65. The tuners were updated to double line Klusons, and the neck-plate to an L plate. This was all work performed at the Fullerton factory 3 years after the guitar was initially built, since then no modifications have been made to the guitar.
Overall the guitar presents in clean condition, with barely any fade to the original finish. There some nicks and dings, however it appears the guitar has seen little play time since 1965.
A fantastic example of a custom colour Fender Jaguar with the slab rosewood fingerboard!
Includes a no-logo black tolex case with original tremolo arm, and mute.
