Now available is this original 1960 Fender Duo Sonic with a slab brazillian rosewood fingerboard, and a short scale neck (22.5").

Work to the guitar includes:

- The body has been stripped of its original desert sand finish and a clearcoat has been applied, the back of the neck also has clear overspray of the original finish.

- At one point 70s 'F' tuners were installed, it currently has reproduction klusons.

- The switch, bridge saddles, knobs, and strap buttons are replacements.

- The bridge pickup is a 70s replacement, it matches well in tone and volume to the original black bobbin pickup in the neck position.

Otherwise this guitar retains both of its original pots dating to the 9th week of 1960, which matches a neck date of May the same year.

The original frets and nut are low, however the guitar is playable with no dead notes. A refret and new nut is recommended for everyday use.

A fantastic opportunity to get into a slab board Fender, includes a modern gigbag.
