Now available on consignment, a 1967 Epiphone Rivoli in Sparkling Burgundy.
This is a player grade example of an Epiphone Rivoli from '67, with typical features of this period of Gibson run Epiphone production including witches hat knobs, die cast bridge assembly, unusual Sparkling Burgundy finish, chrome plating, and an Indian Rosewood fingerboard.
At some point in this bass’s history, someone has quite professionally stripped the finish off the neck and clear coated it, leaving the neck heel cap, headstock, and a stinger on the back of the headstock with original finish and serial number (NO breaks or repairs). As well this the nut, strap buttons, truss rod cover, and hand rest/pickup cover screws have been replaced.
Otherwise this bass retains most of its original parts including the enormous “mudbucker” pickup, bridge, push-button baritone switch, pots, knobs, pull-mute, tuners, and pick-guard.
Strung with a set of nylon-flat-wound strings, this bass is very fun to play, light, twangy, and with a comfortable action. Includes the original Gibson hardcase.
