Now available on consignment, a rare 1965 Epiphone Crestwood Deluxe in its original cherry finish.
This model was the equivalent to the SG Custom in the Kalamazoo Epiphone lineup, being built in the same factory with the same materials as Gibsons at the time. The Deluxe was their top of the line for the Crestwood model, with only a few dozen made in this period.
This particular example has a serial number dating it to 1965, having the 1&9/16" nut width, as well as a mix of nickel and chrome plated hardware.
Work to the guitar includes:
- Professional refret with plenty of life.
- Grovers are 70s pat pend. tuners.
- Pickguard is a custom made replacement that fits exactly.
Otherwise this guitar retains most of it's original parts and has NO breaks or repairs to the heel/headstock. All 4x CTS pots date to '63/'64 and all 3x original patent # mini humbucking pickups remain and sound fantastic!
A rare opportunity to obtain this model, includes a Hiscox hardcase, and original tremolo arm.
