Now available on consignment, an original 1952 Gibson Southern Jumbo with its parallogram neck inlays, neck binding, and sunburst finish!

This is a great example of an early 50s Gibson Southern Jumbo, still featuring the small pickguard, scalloped bracing, and silk screen logo which changes in 1955.

Work to the guitar includes:

- The tuners and truss rod cover are replaced.

- The guitar has had a professional neck set at some point, and a partial refret of the first 4 frets with the same size vintage wire.

- The pickguard has been replaced, and the bridge saddle has been shaved down.

- There is a small repaired crack by the pickguard, and another larger one behind the bridge that is stable. One X brace by the lower bout has been reglued.

Otherwise this guitar is in solid condition for over 70 years old, still retaining its original bridge and finish throughout. A great sounding original 1950s Gibson Southern Jumbo!

Includes a quality modern hardshell case.
