A killer early 1961 slab board strat in a super cool checked Olympic white refin!

This one retains pretty much all original parts including the frets and has the original neck finish and decal.

Work to the guitar includes:

  • Old body only olympic white nitro refin with no routes, seems the guitar has been painted a few colours looking in the neck pocket.
  • At one point there was another pickguard installed judging by an extra screw hole in the body and original shielding plate. The original 3 ply celluloid guard with no cracks is back in place.
  • The nut has been replaced, and at one point schaller tuners were installed. Its currently restored with a set of period correct early 60s kluson single lines. There is a superficial crack (solid) from the schallers.

Otherwise this slab board retains all period correct hardware down to the saddles, bridge plate, tremolo block, neckplate, screws, and strap buttons. All 3 original black bottom pickups are healthy and untouched.

Pots date to the 46th week of 1959, the original output jack, 3 way switch and cloth wiring remain as well.
