Fender Jazzmaster 1968 Sunburst Block Inlays w Hangtag

Now available on consignment, a very cool 1968 Fender Jazzmaster with a bound neck and block inlays!

This example has a clean original sunburst finish with some play wear being 50+ years old. This guitar retains most of its original parts and original finish having no touchup or overspray.

Work to the guitar includes:

• At one point humbuckers were installed in the guitar as evidenced in the cavities, the original grey bottom jazzmaster pickups are back in the guitar with a reproduction pickguard installed.

• At one point a switch was added to the pickguard (now not engaged), the volume pot has been replaced with an era correct '65 stackpole 1meg pot, much of the wiring has been replaced as has the rhythm circuit capacitor and foam under the pickups.

Otherwise this guitar retains all of its original hardware minus some pickguard screws, and remains in great cosmetic condition. The original frets have some typical wear, however remain in fantastic condition overall playing easily with a low action.

Comes in its original stamford import case with matching hangtag and bridge cover.
